childhood flashback

i confess, NEED to stop watching ABC family - for one, i don't even HAVE a family.

but, GILMORE GIRLS is on EVERY DAY - and well, then you have EVERWOOD - and lets be honest, the only way to find a tv family that makes lorelai & rory look normal means you must watch everwood...

so, because i have an unhealthy need to watch abc family, i found out that Annie was on tv tonight. and i know, you are all now saying - whooped-dee-doo... but this is ACTUALLY a momentous situation... this is the VERY FIRST movies i EVER saw in a movie theater!

OH ---- AND, i skated to annie that year in my ice skating club's ice show too - damn i was cute

so please keep your snide comments to yourself ~ and for a minute bond w/ your inner child & let me know what YOUR first movie theater movie was...

  • dirk - no need to miss it anymore- ABC Family is currently showing a double feature daily at 6 & 7!!! but yeah, eph & amy ARE adorable together

snay - ahh... missed the 2nd season of lost and got bored w/ the never ending cliff hangers, i dont get the sci fi channel so i only get to see BG when i vist my paretns.. and VM is on the CW, not ABC family - and i do watch her, but usually on late night TV at like 12:30.....

Scott...... that was the 2nd movie i remember going to... my mom took me.... hummmm maybe THAT is the root of our mother/daughter angst - i proceeded to have NIGHTMARES for MONTHS about that damn flying dog... i was evidently to young to see it.....

me.... wow, you were a late movie bloomer.... we were like 7 or 8 when that one came out.... i remember going to it w/ my aunt & cousins... my little cousin was 2&1/2 and started running thru the isles yelling "fivel where are you"

jenn.... i watched it too - AFTER watching little women......my dad was SO PISSED cause i SO took over HIS big screen TV & lazy boy... my response was "its not like i'm home that often"... isn't it amazing how much liza looks & sounds like judy?

sizzle..... yeah, i have actually never seen ET in its entirety... it was on this weekend too but i was watching little women & then meet me in st.louis before i knew ET was on.... i always seem to catch it after it started or i get interuped or i fall asleep before it ends.......

  • The first movie I remember seeing was at the drive in and was a Bambi re-release. On a little bed made by my mom in the back of a powder blue Pinto station wagon. And I was mortified when Bambi's mom was shot.

Annie is classic...as is ABC Family.
